The FTC released the final amendments to its rule implementing COPPA, or COPPA Rule, in December 2012. Those changes took effect July 1. In April, the FTC released updated frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the COPPA Rule. The commission said it intended to periodically update those FAQs.
