Flutter Entertainment, the owner of the PokerStars online gaming website, has agreed to pay Kentucky $300 million to settle a suit seeking treble damages for money residents lost on the site between 2006 and 2011.
Online gaming is illegal in Kentucky. During that six-year span the site took more 246 million bets from state residents. The Kentucky High Court reinstated an $870 million judgment for the state last December.
