FCC Urged to Protect Government Radars From Wi-Fi Interference

The Federal Communications Commission should protect government radar systems from interference if it allows Wi-Fi devices to use the same spectrum band, the Commerce Department said.

The FCC should create “exclusion zones” to protect Pentagon, NASA and Department of Energy systems, Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration said in a Tuesday letter.
