FCC Urged to Bring Back Net Neutrality Rules It Had Scrapped

A tech trade group whose members includeAmazon.com Inc. and Facebook Inc. is calling on the Federal Communications Commission to enact new net neutrality rules.

The petition, filed Thursday by INCOMPAS, could serve as a vehicle for the Democratic-controlled agency to reinstate Obama-era rules that banned internet service providers like Comcast Corp. and AT&T Inc. from blocking, slowing, or prioritizing certain internet traffic. The FCC declined to comment.
