FCC Exempts Some Netgear, Adtran Routers from Covered List

The Federal Communications Commission exempts Netgear’s Nighthawk consumer, mesh, mobile and standalone routers from its covered list, according to a statement from the agency.

  • The FCC also exempts Adtran service delivery gateway class routers from its list
  • Netgear’s Orbi consumer mesh, mobile and standalone routers are also exempted, according to the FCC
  • Netgear shares rose as much as 3.3% and Adtran shares extended gains to a session high, up 3.2%, after the FCC announced the exemptions
