Republican lawmakers clashed with Federal Communications Commission Chair Jessica Rosenworcel on Thursday over the agency’s recent push to fulfill Democratic-led priorities, including restoring net neutrality and preventing digital discrimination.
Rosenworcel “has pursued a federal government takeover of the internet” since the agency gained a Democratic majority two months ago, Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio), chair of the House Energy and Commerce’s communications and technology subcommittee, said during the acrimonious oversight hearing.
