The Federal Communications Commission has approved 319 companies to participate in a $3.2 billion program that will provide discounts on internet service to consumers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The providers, which are the first approved for the program, include major carriers like AT&T Inc. as well as smaller regional telephone and cable providers.
