Facebook ‘Pixel’ Video-Sharing Lawsuit Advances Against Pearson

Pearson Education Inc. must face a proposed class action alleging it shared information about videos viewed by its subscribers with Meta Platforms Inc. in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

John Collins alleged that Pearson incorporated the Facebook “pixel” on its website, allowing the social media giant to collect the Facebook IDs and video-viewing histories of website visitors without their knowledge or consent.
