Amazon.com Inc. discriminates against employees who take leave for military service, including by failing to return them to their jobs when their leave is over, a proposed class action filed in Seattle federal court charges.

Yasmine Mahone says that’s what happened to her, resulting in the termination of her employment with Amazon in Bessemer, Ala., after just three months. A member of the Alabama National Guard, she needed the time off for “drill weekend,” Mahone says.
