Nine European countries have started a coalition to strengthen the European semiconductor industry, according to a statement from the Dutch government.
- Countries involved: Belgium, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and Spain
- Coalition’s goals include expanding production capacity within the EU and strengthening current European players in the semiconductor value chain
- Coalition will work together with the European Commission to look at longer term financial support for the sector
