Europe Joins FAA in Warning Pilots on 5G Near U.S. Airports

European aviation regulators are warning airlines that 5G wireless service set to begin using new frequencies next month in the U.S. could cause interference with aircraft safety equipment.

The European Aviation Safety Agency issued a Safety Information Bulletin saying the signals may be at higher power levels than in their home countries. It recommended airlines flying into the U.S. follow restrictions imposed by American regulators and to consider special pilot training on possible radio interference.
