Dozens of Chinese Firms Join Lawsuit Against Amazon, Report Says

Dozens of Chinese merchants have joined a class-action lawsuit that Yingke Law Firm filed against Amazon last month in U.S. District Court in northern California, Securities Daily reports, citing a lawyer at the firm.

  • Amazon has expressed “some willingness” to settle the case, the report added
  • Note: Seven Chinese merchants that Amazon accused of breaking its rules on product reviews filed the lawsuit to demand that funds being held by the U.S. e-retailer be returned, the South China Morning Post reported on Oct. 1
