The Justice Department is seeking injunctions against five companies and three individuals that allegedly routed hundreds of millions of illegal robocalls from India and other countries to the U.S.
The department filed two civil cases Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. One of the cases is against SIP Retail, LLC and related businesses and individuals. The second case is against Global Voicecom Inc. and related businesses. SIP Retail and Global Voicecom didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
