Dish Misses Out on $3.3 Billion in Auction Bidding Credits (1)

The FCC has ruled that two companies with ties to Dish Network Corp. are ineligible to receive $3.3 billion in bidding credits that were available to small businesses that participated in a 2014 spectrum auction.

The agency concluded that SNR Wireless LicenseCo and Northstar Wireless continue to be controlled by Dish and are ineligible for the subsidies, in an order released Monday. SNR and Northstar bid about $13.3 billion for spectrum licenses in the AWS-3 Advanced Wireless Services auction.
