A new 5G development plan from Denmark’s utilities ministry omits something the Danish telecommunications industry says is important—money to spur demand for next-generation ultra-fast wireless communications.
Denmark’s Climate Energy and Utilities Ministry’s Feb. 18 policy document provides new information on 5G testing opportunities, frequencies, and spectrum auctions. However, industry officials told Bloomberg Law that it does not address concerns that the nation’s digital sector is unaware of the full benefits of 5G, and that new funding is needed to stimulate demand.
