Cox Communications announced that it will acquire Tulsa, Okla.-based CLEC EasyTEL for an undisclosed sum, bringing it under the Cox Business umbrella. Operating as a CLEC since the late 1990s, EasyTEL owns and operates a 750-mile fiber network across the Tulsa metro area providing telephone, Internet and data, and television services to 1,898 lit buildings.
According to Cox, the combined footprint of the two companies in the Tulsa metro will include approximately 95,000 fiber route miles and connect 21,000 on-net buildings.
