After trialing a joint marketing program in Portland, Ore., Seattle and San Francisco, Verizon and Comcast are extending the model to several additional markets.
The companies have announced that they’ll be selling bundles of cable, Internet, digital phone and Verizon Wireless service in Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Salt Lake City, as well as in Colorado. The cities all sit outside of Verizon’s traditional wireline network, so there should be no chance that the new offerings will compete with Verizon’s DSL or FiOS services.
