Comcast is eliminating its 250 GB monthly usage cap on its Xfinity Internet service, instead offering tiered data allotments starting at 300 MB per month and, for the first time, charging overage fees.
In a May 17 post on its Comcast Voices blog, the cable giant said company said it will test two new options for data usage on its broadband network. Under the first scenario, customers would have to pay for additional gigabytes of data if they exceed their monthly usage blocks.
