Comcast Launches ‘Energy Rewards’ Joint Marketing Trial In Pennsylvania

As Broadband Daily reported in January, Comcast Corp. has been exploring a partnership with Pennsylvania electric utility NRG Energy, Inc. to create a joint marketing and rewards program offering special deals to Comcast subscribers.

The companies last week launched a trial of the new Energy Rewards plans, which are built on two options that provide either guaranteed 10 percent savings compared to user’s current electricity supplier or guaranteed pricing, locking in Pennsylvania electric supplier Independence Energy Group LLC’s electricity supply price at the time users sign up.
