Citrix Systems Inc. will pay $2.75 million to settle a class action alleging it made telemarketing calls to consumers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act
Dan Boger alleged that Citrix Systems violated the act by making five telemarketing calls to his cellphone number that was listed on the national do-not-call registry.
Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby of the US District Court for the District of Maryland gave preliminary approval to the deal Tuesday, and conditionally certified the settlement class of individuals nationwide who received calls despite being on the do-not-call registry or having previously asked Citrix to stop calling. ...
