China Seeks Opinion on New Rules on Live-Streaming Businesses

China’s State Administration for Market Regulation will seek public opinions on new draft measures for supervision of live-streaming e-commerce businesses, the official Xinhua News Agency reports, citing the authority.

  • China plans to strengthen regulations on parties including live-streaming operators and marketing agencies
  • Authorities will crack down on activities such as false marketing, false information, exaggeration of product efficacy and fabricating transactions to rectify the industry
