The first defamation lawsuit against OpenAI LLC over a false output created by its wildly popular AI chatbot ChatGPT was returned to the Georgia state court where it was first filed.
US District Judge Michael Brown of the Northern District of Georgia on Wednesday remanded the first-of-its-kind case to the Superior Court of Gwinnett County after OpenAI LLC said it wouldn’t further reveal its corporate membership structure.
OpenAI withdrew its decision to keep the case in federal court in a filing earlier this month, saying the company “is not in a position to provide further information beyond its prior filings” ...
