Charter Communications Inc. said it would offer Dodgers baseball games, currently blacked out to many Los Angeles viewers, to competing pay-TV providers if its proposed $55.1 billion purchase of Time Warner Cable Inc. goes through.
Dodgers games have been unavailable to most of the Los Angeles market’s 4.1 million pay-TV customers since Time Warner Cable gained distribution rights before the 2014 season to SportsNet LA, the regional channel that features the team’s games.
