CenturyLink added 35,000 broadband subscribers in the first quarter and now has 6.12 million residential broadband subs, the carrier announced. Year-over-year CenturyLink added 60,000 broadband subscribers. The gains partially offset the loss of traditional access lines which fell from 12.39 million in the fourth quarter of 2014 to 12.27 million in the first quarter of 2015.
In addition to the high-speed data customers, the carrier’s broadband-based video service, Prism TV, added 8,000 subscribers in the quarter and now has 249,000 subscribers overall. In the first quarter of 2014 CenturyLink said it had 199,000 Prism subscribers. The service, which has a ...
