Cablevision Drops Optimum Brand For Lightpath Enterprise Services Unit

Cablevision has rebranded its NYC-metro focused business services division, dropping the Optimum Lightpath tag and returning to the unit’s pre-2005 name, Lightpath.

The elimination of the Optimum brand for the medium and large enterprise-focused unit will help Cablevision to differentiate its Ethernet-based services from the cable modem- and EMTA-delivered data and voice services it provides to small and mid-sized businesses under the Optimum Business brand. Cablevision offers Optimum Business-branded services in both its NYC metro footprint and in the Optimum West territories it acquired from Bresnan Communications in 2010.
