Bitcoin Ownership Spat Stays in Court Minus Some Claims

A fight over digital currency ownership between a self-identified co-creator of Bitcoin and his partner’s estate can go forward, but only on some claims, a judge said Dec. 27.

Craig Wright, who in 2016 claimed to be one of the creators of Bitcoin, can’t ditch a suit against him by his late partner Dave Kleiman’s family and their old company, Judge Beth Bloom said. Kleiman passed away in April 2013.
