BGOV Bill Summary: S. 3600, Federal Cybersecurity Package

Federal agencies and critical infrastructure owners would have to disclose significant cybersecurity incidents and ransomware attacks under S. 3600.

The measure also would update requirements for federal agency information security, require more coordination with the Homeland Security Department’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and formally authorize a federal cloud computing program.
