AT&T Unveils “Digital Life” Home Monitoring Service

After almost a year in development, AT&T is preparing to launch a wireless home monitoring service in eight markets in March.

AT&T announced the new service launch yesterday at its developer conference in Las Vegas. The service, dubbed “AT&T Digital Life” will allow subscribers to use smartphones, tablets, and PCs to monitor and control systems within their homes from any wireless or broadband Internet connection. The plan will work over any provider’s network and does not require that the customer also subscribes to an AT&T wireless or broadband service.
