AT&T Tests HBO Plus Broadband Package for New U-verse Subs

AT&T has begun marketing a new U-verse service tier that wraps an HBO subscription together with a basic video package of local stations and U-verse Max Plus high-speed data service ranging from 18 Mbps to 45 Mbps. The U-verse HBO Internet Plus package, with prices starting at $39 per month for the 18 Mbps speed. also includes in-home WiFi, access to AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots, and an HD DVR. While the DVR supports HD, subscribers who want the higher quality picture will have to pay an additional $10 each month to receive a high-definition signal.
