AT&T Announces Final 45 Mbps U-verse Target Markets

AT&T is boosting its U-verse data speeds to 45 Mbps for eligible subscribers in markets across five states, a deployment that will mark the end of new markets seeing wireline speed upgrades under its Project Velocity IP (VIP) investment plan. AT&T has already introduced the higher-speed U-verse Power tier in U-verse markets across 17 states.

The carrier will continue spending to upgrade and expand its wireless broadband infrastructure over the next two years.

U-verse Power provides 45 Mbps downstream speed with a 6 Mbps upstream, significantly faster than the company’s previous top-end data tier that topped out at 24 Mbps. ...
