Amazon.com Inc. has reached an agreement with French tax authorities, the company announced, though it didn’t reveal the amount or nature of the settlement.
“We have reached an agreement with the tax authorities on historical matters and remain focused on providing a great shopping experience for our customers in France, where we have invested more than 2 billion euros ($2.48 billion) since 2010 and created more than 5,500 jobs,” the online retail giant said in a Feb. 5 email.
