Amazon Could Be Liable for Injury From Hoverboard (1)

Amazon.com Inc. is a “seller” under New Jersey product liability law and potentially liable to a child injured by a hoverboard sold through its marketplace, the District of New Jersey ruled Aug. 26.

The federal district court is the first to follow the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit’s decision in Oberdorf v.
