Activision $18 Million Bias Settlement Headed for Court Approval

A federal judge in California said Tuesday that she was prepared to approve Activision Blizzard Inc.'s settlement with the EEOC over sexual harassment and discrimination claims, subject to limited further argument and revisions to address certain concerns.

Activision agreed to create an $18 million fund for victims of sexual harassment and discrimination and to implement workplace reforms under the deal with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Judge Dale S. Fischer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said she was “generally satisfied that both the monetary relief and the nonmonetary provisions are fair, reasonable, and adequate.” ...
