US Soccer and Major League Soccer were cleared Monday by a federal jury of allegations they colluded to prevent a now-defunct league from competing in top-tier men’s professional soccer, a victory for the organizations after nearly a decade of litigation.

A 10-person jury deliberated for less than two hours to find for US Soccer and MLS, specifically that there was no “relevant market” for the plaintiff’s allegations, a threshold step in this type of case.
