The US Department of Health and Human Services Civil Rights Office found that Columbia University violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by acting with “deliberate indifference towards student-on-student harassment of Jewish students from October 7, 2023, to the present.”
- Findings based on information and documents obtained during an investigation that included witness interviews, examination of written policies and procedures, reliable media reports, and information from Columbia University’s Task Force on Antisemitism, according to an HHS statement
