The NYC Ballet Inc. will have to face the claim that it failed to take actions to mitigate a culture of degradation and exploitation of female dancers, a New York appellate court ruled.
Dancer Alexandra Waterbury sued the NYCB, its School of American Ballet, and her now ex-boyfriend Chase Finlay, after Finlay allegedly sent intimate photos and videos of her to others in the company without her knowledge or consent. Waterbury also sued the individuals who allegedly received the photos and egged Finlay on.
