Ford Beats Muslim Engineer’s Race, Religious Bias Suit for Now

Ford Motor Co. is free for now of allegations that it discriminated against a Muslim engineer of Middle Eastern origin, but a judge gave the worker permission to fix up his suit and try again.

The worker fell short of alleging that Ford fired him because of his race, national origin, or religion, or because he filed a discrimination complaint with the automaker’s human resources team, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said. But he’ll have a chance to amend his complaint, according to the Thursday order.
