Former Airbus SEChief Executive Officer Tom Enders is in talks to become chairman of KNDS NV to help navigate surging demand for European military equipment and prepare the Franco-German tankmaker for a possible initial public offering, people familiar with the matter said.

Enders is among candidates being considered for the role, said the people, who asked not to be identified because discussions are private.
