A Massachusetts federal district court granted summary judgment to New Era Technology, Inc. on a retaliation claim under state law by an onsite services manager who was allegedly terminated in retaliation for requesting parental leave, finding that New Era provided a legitimate, nondiscriminatory reason for termination—gross negligence related to unbilled overtime on a project—and there was no evidence beyond speculation that the decisionmaker had knowledge of his leave request.
