Software maker Zendesk Inc. defeated, for now, a shareholder lawsuit accusing the company of misleading investors before its $10.2 billion sale to a group of private equity firms led by Hellman & Friedman and Permira.
Investors haven’t shown Zendesk’s board undervalued the company before shareholders voted to approve the sale in September 2022, Judge P. Casey Pitts in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Wednesday opinion dismissing the suit.
Investors will have a chance to amend their complaint.
