Wirecard Investors End Appeal Against German Ernst & Young Unit

Ernst & Young Global Ltd.’s accounting affiliate in Germany no longer faces the prospect of revived claims by Wirecard AG investors over an alleged €1.9 billion fraud, after the Third Circuit closed the appeal Wednesday.

The parties agreed to a voluntary dismissal. Neither they nor the appeals court indicated whether a settlement was involved. Attorneys for the affiliate and for the US investors didn’t immediately respond to emailed requests for information.
