Utah Men, Firm Reach Deals to End SEC Offering Fraud Allegations

Four Utah men and their company reached deals to settle SEC allegations over two interrelated alleged offering fraud schemes for more than $2.9 million combined, according to filings in a federal court in the state.

ConTXT Inc., Thomas J. Robbins, Daniel J. Merriman, Mark W. Wiseman, and Clark J. Madsen all agreed to permanent injunctions prohibiting them from violating certain federal securities laws as well, according to consent documents the Securities and Exchange Commission filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.
