Uber Investors Get Lead Plaintiff, Counsel in IPO Statement Spat

Uber Technologies Inc. investors who accuse the ride-hailing giant of misleading them about losses and growth during its 2019 initial public offering secured a lead plaintiff and class counsel in California federal district court.

Boston Retirement System, a pension plan serving Boston government workers, will serve as lead plaintiff in the would-be class suit because it has the undisputed largest financial interest in the litigation, Judge Richard Seeborg of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said Jan. 3.
