‘Uber Files’ Securities Fraud Suit Tossed by Federal Court

Uber Technologies Inc. stockholders didn’t adequately back up a securities fraud class action over the leaking of 100,000 internal records, a federal judge said in dismissing the suit.

The leaked files were Uber records from 2013 to 2017 showing “how Uber secretly met with various government officials and politicians to skirt laws and regulations around the world,” including President Emmanuel Macron of France, plaintiff and stockholder Dongping Cao told the US District Court for the Northern District of California in his complaint filed in 2022.
