Trump’s SEC Eyes Regional Director Cuts as Enforcement Shifts

The Trump administration’s push to cull the federal workforce will likely leave the Securities and Exchange Commission with less robust infrastructure to pursue enforcement through its satellite offices, as the agency targets regional directors for potential removal.

Directors across the SEC’s 10 regional offices received an announcement in late February informing them their roles would be eliminated, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg News.
