TransDigm Free of ‘Monopolistic Tactics’ Securities Suit

TransDigm Group Inc. won’t have to face a would-be class suit alleging it misled investors about price hikes and attempts to evade government oversight after an Ohio federal district judge dismissed the complaint.

Investors accused the aerospace component manufacturer of hiding its use of shell distributors to make noncompetitive bids for government projects seem competitive, “monopolisitic tactics” to increase prices, and attempts to avoid government scrutiny. But the investors didn’t adequately allege any material misstatements or omissions, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said Wednesday.
