Taronis Technologies Inc. shareholders who filed a derivative suit over a fake press release touting a city contract that hadn’t actually been signed secured final settlement approval from a federal judge in Arizona.
The shareholders accused the energy company, now known as BBHC Inc., of making false statements about a nonexistent agreement with San Diego to use a Taronis product as its go-to fuel. The settlement includes corporate governance reforms, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said.
