SolarWinds Begins Defense Against SEC Claim of Security Lies (2)

Three years and a day after SolarWinds Corp. disclosed one of the most aggressive cyberattacks in history, attorneys for the company and its top security officer will face the US Securities and Exchange Commission in court over the agency’s groundbreaking enforcement action against the company.

The Dec. 14 case management conference will begin a rare and in many ways unprecedent legal process against a software supplier accused of failing to enforce basic security protections leading to a Russian hack between 2019 and 2020.
