Snap’s $65 Million Investor Settlement Gets Final Court Approval

Snap Inc.'s $65 million settlement garnered a federal judge’s final blessing, ending allegations the technology giant misled investors about how Apple Inc. privacy changes would impact its advertising business.

The settlement class covers those who acquired Snap securities or call options, or sold put options, from Feb. 5, 2021, through Oct. 21, 2021, according to US District Court for the Central District of California Judge George H. Wu’s final approval order entered Monday. The deal ends more than four years of litigation involving Snap, CEO Evan Spiegel, and former Chief Business Officer Jeremi Gorman.
