View Inc. beat a shareholder lawsuit stemming from accounting errors revealed after the maker of so-called smart windows went public through a blank-check deal.
Stadium Capital LLC, the lead plaintiff in the case, sold its shares in View before the errors were revealed. Stadium therefore didn’t have standing to sue the company for securities fraud, Judge Beth Labson Freeman in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Tuesday decision.
